SWEF PROJECT
Project SWEF (Skills, Well-Being, Experience and Funding) is aimed at enhancing the skills
and well-being of Nigeria police officers to address the challenges faced by Nigeria police
officers such as high stress levels affecting their well-being, limited skill development.

OBJECTIVES:
- Improve skills through training and development programs.
- Enhance well-being through mental health, physical health and recreational activities.
- Revamp and upgrade of medical equipment in police hospitals across the nation.
- Boost morale, experience and job satisfaction.
SKILLS/TRAINING:
- De-escalation techniques
- Community Engagement
- Legal and Ethical Considerations
- Conflict Management
- Emotional Intelligence
- Leadership and Management
The Skills/Training Strategy will train 10,000 officers per state.
WELL-BEING:
- Upgrading the Police Hospitals.
- Training on the use of the medical equipment and devices.
- Training of the Police Health Personnel.
- Health Awareness Campaigns.
Strategy includes:
- NEED Analysis on all the Police Hospitals on Infrastructure, Training and Medical
Equipment Revamp. - Work with Police Medical Team on the hospitals to upgrade following the NEED
Assessment.
EXPERIENCE:
- The project includes an all-expense paid 3-day Vacation to UK for ten (10) Senior
Officers in Police Force Training Department - This will enable the officers to experience international policing strategies, workforce and policies.
- These Officers will be able to further train other police officers on the international
policing strategies that will lead to better police interventions and practices across the
federation.

- Positive impact on community relations and crime reduction
- Improved community policing strategies.
Project SWEF will ultimately address the challenges faced by Nigerian police officers for
better intervention for the society and immediate communities.
