Nursing and Midwifery Career Support Programme

We have been approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to train Nigerian nurses and Midwives and offer them 3 CEU points toward their licence renewal.  We have been approved to deliver the following courses which are suitable for nurses and midwifes working in any speciality. Some of these courses are part of the mandatory CPD courses taken by nurses and midwifes in the UK. A minimum of 30 contact hours must be completed.

Clinical Skills For nurses and Midwifes- level 1: Some of the Course Contents include Basic Life Support, Health and safety for healthcare, Infection control, Monitoring and management of physical health condition, Anaphylaxis, Catheterisation, Safeguarding Adult, Moving and Handling, Care Planning and Record Keeping, Medication Management and Drug Calculations, Pain management, Venipuncture, Verification of Death

Clinical Skills For nurses and Midwifes – level 2:  The Course Contents includes, Dementia-Intervention for Cognitive & Non-Cognitive, Diabetes Awareness, Electrocardiogram (ECG), End of Life-Advanced Care Planning, Epilepsy Awareness, Managing Risk, Minimising Restraint, Pressure Ulcer Prevention (Acute), Pressure Ulcer Prevention (Community), Tissue Viability-Assessment & Treatment 0f Wound, Tissue Viability Wound Types, Stroke Awareness, Self Harm, Dementia Clinical Guidelines

Mental health Nursing – Level 1: Some of the Course Contents include Mental health awareness, Managing challenging behaviour, Stress management, Managing Conflict, Managing Risk Minimising Restraint, Medication Management, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Mental Health Awareness, Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Self Harm, Care Planning and Record Keeping. Leadership and management- level 1: This course is suitable for nurses and midwifes in leadership roles or those aspiring for leadership roles and positions such as managers, directors etc.
