Though, some form of Catering and Food service is available in Nigeria, majority of these Food business owners and employees are not trained Caterers and Food Safety professional.

Catering and Food safety is not just all about cooking, it must incorporate different aspects of Food safety practices and use of technological skills that sustains the sector within contemporary expectations.

A high percentage of employees within the Food industry are just cooks, who lack the requisite professional knowledge and skills needed within the Food industry. There is therefore an existing skills gap and a difference between skills possessed by untrained cooks.

Structure of Programme:

6 weeks of Training. Delegates will be paid daily attendance allowance

3 months of Internship: Participants will be supported to engage in 3 month of paid internship.

Job support: We will support delegates to secure paid jobs.

Criteria for Selection:

• Must be between 18- 35 years
• Must live in Lagos and have LASRRA ID
• Must be unemployed
